Students who skipped school for anti-ICE protest could face discipline, San Antonio ISD says
The hundreds of students who marched to City Hall Wednesday to protest against President Trump's immigration policies could face disciplinary action, San Antonio Independent School District officials said. In a statement to the Current, district officials said that although they respect students' right to protest, those who participated in the march are not immune from punishment for skipping school. "As with any case when a student leaves a campus and misses class, the consequences will follow our student code of conduct," officials said in an emailed statement.
