San Antonio's Godai Sushi closing this weekend after nearly 20 years in business
Roughly a month after filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court to escape its debts, San Antonio’s Godai Sushi will permanently close its doors this Saturday, according to its owner. In a Tuesday Facebook post, Godai chef-owner William "Goro" Pitchford said keeping the North Side sushi staple, located at 11204 West Ave., in operation has taken a toll on his mental and physical health. Godai Sushi Inc. filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in July.
