San Antonio's Empty Stomach Group opening French bistro at former Hands Down spot
San Antonio's Empty Stomach Group is giving a familiar location another go. The restaurant-ownership group is launching a French bistro called Petit Coquin in the Lavaca location that previously housed its cocktail lounge Hands Down, which closed in June. Petit Coquin will open at 1012 S. Presa St. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, just in time for Valentines Day, according to Empty Stomach owner Chad Carey.
