Texas Democrat calls for Gov. Greg Abbott's impeachment over migrants' treatment
Amid Texas Democrats' demand for a federal investigation into state troopers' alleged violations of migrants' safety and civil rights under Gov. Greg Abbott's Operation Lone Star, one lawmaker is calling for his impeachment. During a press conference Tuesday afternoon that included 15 Texas Democratic lawmakers, Congressman Al Green said wants impeachment proceedings to begin against the Republican governor if allegations of misconduct by state troopers reported by Hearst Newspapers are true.
