Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission launches opioid-related overdose training
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has launched a new training course to help bar owners, managers and staff recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and intervene with lifesaving measures. The Opioid-Related Drug Overdose Course was developed by the agency after the passage of Texas' Senate Bill 998, which requires liquor-license holders to complete an opioid overdose training course provided by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission annually. The law took effect Sept. 1.
