Texas AG Ken Paxton sues 5 cities where voters cast ballots to decriminalize weed
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued five Texas cities to block their voter-approved ordinances decriminalizing low-level cannabis possession. Voters in Austin, Denton, Elgin, Killeen and San Marcos approved ballot initiatives designed to halt arrests and criminal penalties for those caught with less than four ounces of weed. Each of the proposals was approved by 70% or more of voters in those municipalities.
