Selena's killer, Yolanda Saldivar, denied parole 30 years after Tejano singer's death
Yolanda Saldivar, the woman who shot and fatally injured Tejano singer and South Texas icon Selena Quintanilla-Perez, has been denied parole nearly three decades after her death. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles released a statement Thursday saying it had turned down Saldivar's parole request because the nature of her offense makes her an ongoing threat.
