San Antonio educator arrested on charges he punched autistic student

San Antonio police arrested a former Northside Independent School District employee last week over allegations he punched an autistic student in the face, the Express-News reports. Adam Verastegui, 47, was taken into custody Feb. 3 on charges of injury to a child, elderly or disabled person with intent to cause bodily harm, Bexar County court records show. However, he was released from the Bexar county jail the following day after posting a $30,000 bond, records show.
