San Antonio barbecue staple Dignowity Meats closing at year's end
Dignowity Meats has become the latest high-profile San Antonio dining spot to reveal it will close before year's end. “Dear friends, it is with an immense amount of gratitude that we are announcing our final day of service will be Monday, 12/30,” the owners of the east-of-downtown barbecue spot said Thursday in a social media post. Co-founded by Denise Aguirre, Noel Cisneros, Shane Reed and Andrew Samia — the latter a partner in Curry Boys BBQ — Dignowity Meats opened in late 2014.
