San Antonio area's Schlitterbahn now hiring 2,000 people for new season

New Braunfels waterpark Schlitterbahn is preparing to hire 2,000 people for its 2024 season, officials said Wednesday. The park's annual recruiting campaign, scheduled for Feb. 17-24, aims to fill positions in departments including lifeguards, housekeeping, security, park services and food and beverage, according to a company statement. Pay rates run as high as $17 per hour.
