San Antonio Republicans Grant Moody, Marc Whyte eyeing runs for new Texas congressional seat
Now that the redrawing of Texas' political maps to favor the GOP is all but a done deal, multiple San Antonio Republicans are eyeing runs for Congress, the Texas Tribune reports. Under the state's new map, the newly created 35th Congressional District would include parts of the Alamo City along with outlying rural counties that skew Republican. Pieced together from five existing districts, the newly minted region would have gone to Trump by a 10-point margin had it existed last November, the Tribune reports.
