San Antonio's new pink-accented cowgirl bar La Honky Tonk opens Wednesday
San Antonio's new cowgirl-centric honky tonk will debut Wednesday, inviting patrons to boot scoot through its pink-accented interior to a playlist that favors female country artists. La Honky Tonk, by the same team behind masculine counterpart El Honky Tonk, is located just north of downtown at 909 Broadway, the site that once housed Augie's BBQ. Co-owner Richard Bocanegra told the Current he was inspired to create La Honky Tonk after visiting Miranda Lambert's Nashville bar and restaurant Casa Rosa.
