San Antonio's $6 million Terry Black's Barbecue scheduled to open in spring 2026

More details have emerged in a state regulatory filing about Terry Black's Barbecue's first foray into San Antonio. The Lockhart-born barbecue chain will spend $6 million constructing a nearly 9,800-square-foot restaurant at 2101 Broadway, according to details shared Tuesday with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Work on the Pearl-area site is expected to get underway next spring and wrap up in May 2026, the report shows. San Antonio's Historic and Design Review Commission last month signed off on the company's planned construction of a restaurant, courtyard, pit house and parking lot on the 1.4-acre site.
