Overnight storms cause power outages at three San Antonio polling sites

Overnight storms caused power outages at three San Antonio polling locations early Tuesday, yet all three were able to meet their scheduled 7 a.m. opening time, local elections officials said. The affected polling sites included Northside ISD’s Pat M. Neff Middle School, Northeast ISD’s Ed White Middle School and the Judson ISD Educational Resource Center. “We adjusted, got set up, and like we’ve always told you, all of our equipment has battery power,” Bexar County Elections Administrator Jacquelyn Callanen told reporters during an Election Day press conference.
