New photography exhibit by UTSA students highlights 'compassion' in architecture
A new exhibition of work from University of Texas at San Antonio blends photography and architecture to offer a deeper understanding of the urban spaces in which we live and work. The annual student exhibition of work UTSA Associate Professor of Architecture and Integrated Design İlayda Çetin will open this Wednesday downtown at the offices of Lake|Flato Architects, 311 3rd St. Open to the public, the event will run 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and the photographs will remain on display for longer, though the duration has not been specified. Çetin asked students in her Advanced Digital Visualization: Photography class to focus on taking multiple photos of a building that's important to them while conveying "compassion" in the images they capture.
