New neighborhood dive bar Hoops to open on San Antonio’s Northeast side
A new dive dubbed Hoops Sports Bar will open next month inside the space that once housed Northeast San Antonio neighborhood spot Knuckleheads, news site MySA reports. Hoops co-owners Victoria Cabasas and J. Moore told MySA that they will go all in on the sports bar theme, including round tables painted like basketballs and several 65-inch flat screen TVs. Previously, neighborhood spot Knuckleheads occupied the space, but it closed in 2023 after more than 15 years in operation.
