New dance club Wav Room takes over El Ojo space on San Antonio's St. Mary's Strip

New dance club Wav Room — or .wav room, as it's stylized — has taken over the spot that once housed El Ojo on the St. Mary's Strip. The club is the latest venture by Empty Stomach Group's John Michael Villanueva, Sophie Gonzalez and Chad Carey, who joined forces for the venture with Edward Silva, a local DJ who goes by LZRCAT. Wav Room will be a brick-and-mortar extension of Silva's brainchild House Arrest, a dance-music DJ collective that entertains at clubs and parties throughout the city.
