New Kona Grill location to open late this summer in far Northwest San Antonio

San Antonio is set to gain a third Kona Grill restaurant, this one taking over the former Bar-B-Cutie Smokehouse location near I-10 and North Loop 1604, regulatory documents show. The Denver-based steak-and-seafood chain will spend $2 million refurbishing the former barbecue spot at 5603 Presidio Parkway, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction on the 4,000-square-foot building is expected to begin April 28 and wrap up around the end of August.
