Monster Jam's giant trucks will take over the Alamodome this weekend
It's that time of year again — the Christmas decorations are coming down, the worst of the winter doldrums are setting in and a small army of gargantuan trucks with tires big enough to have their own ZIP Codes are rumbling into the Alamodome for Monster Jam. As the august and venerable New Yorker has raved, Monster Jam competitions are near-religious experiences that capture a "kind of American sublime" and "can be a forum for contemplating oblivion."
