Longtime San Antonio Spurs radio announcer Bill Schoening retires after 24 seasons

Bill Schoening, who served as the San Antonio Spurs' radio voice for 24 seasons, is closing the book on more than four decades in sports media, Spurs Sports & Entertainment officials said Friday. During his tenure at the Alamo City's WOAI-AM, Schoening has called four of the Silver and Black's five NBA Championships and been on hand for every game during the Big Three era.
