Longtime San Antonio Spurs commentator Bill Land has retired
San Antonio Spurs commentator Bill Land will retire ahead of the 2024-2025 season after more than 15 years on the mic, officials with the NBA team said Wednesday. The announcement comes after he was diagnosed in May 2023 with multiple myeloma, a rare form of blood cancer. This June, Land received a stem-cell transplant which has helped him battle the disease, according to the Spurs.
