Gov. Greg Abbott says he's calling an October special legislative session on school vouchers
Gov. Greg Abbott appears to be making good on his threat to call a special session to force the Texas Legislature to pass his school-voucher plan. During a tele-town hall Tuesday, Abbott announced that a special session to pass his plan will begin next month, the Texas Tribune reports. The Republican governor also offered a not-so-veiled threat to lawmakers who don't play along.
