First ever Texas A&M-San Antonio basketball game ends in split victory
In a home double-header that marked Texas A&M-San Antonio's basketball debut, the school's women's basketball team defeated Southern University at New Orleans 89-73, while the men's team lost 86-75 to the same visiting school. Respectively, Evelyn Lorenzo and Journee Phillips led the women's and men's teams in scoring. Lorenzo racked up 20 points for the Jaguars while Phillips bagged 30.
