Family of San Antonio teen killed by police will move forward with civil rights lawsuit, attorney says
High-profile civil rights attorney Lee Merritt said he's moving forward with a federal civil rights lawsuit against the San Antonio police officer accused of fatally shooting unarmed 13-year-old Andre "AJ" Hernandez last summer. Merritt confirmed those plans Friday in an emailed statement to the Current after a Bexar County grand jury decided not to indict SAPD Officer Stephen Ramos for the shooting.
