During sobriety test, San Antonio councilwoman took more than twice as many steps as instructed

District 8 Councilwoman Ivalis Meza Gonzalez showed difficulty following a simple instruction during the field sobriety test that proceeded her arrest last week on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to a blood draw warrant cited by MySA. In the warrant, the San Antonio police officer who pulled over Gonzalez said the first-term councilwoman was “failing to maintain a lane of travel” while she drove westbound on I-10 near Fresno Street at around 11 p.m. last Thursday, the online news outlet reports. During Gonzalez's subsequent field sobriety test, the officer instructed her to take nine steps forward, MySA reports, citing the blood draw warrant.
