Billionaire Jeff Bezos' tuition-free San Antonio preschool welcomes first batch of students
Billionaire Jeff Bezos’ tuition-free preschool campuses celebrated their first day of classes this week. The Amazon founder's first and only San Antonio-area Bezos Academy, located in Universal City, welcomed its inaugural class of preschoolers on Tuesday, according to administrators. Located on the campus of Northeast Lakeview College, the local Bezos Academy offers free preschool to children from 3 to 5 who are from families earning up to 400% of the federal poverty level. That’s $125,000 annually for a family of four.
