Bexar County Democratic Party Chairwoman resigns
Following Tuesday's disastrous election for Texas Democrats, Monica Alcantara has stepped down as chair of the Bexar County Democratic Party. Alcantara announced her immediate resignation in a Friday Facebook post, stating that she wanted to "serve the voters of Bexar County in a different manner." Alcantara's resignation has conspicuously occurred in tandem with the resignation of Gilberto Hinojosa, the chair of the Texas Democratic Party writ large, who signed her resignation as one of his final acts in office.
