Again emulating Trump, Gov. Greg Abbott proposes calling Gulf of Mexico the 'Gulf of Texas'

In his latest slavish attempt to emulate BFF Donald Trump, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a Wednesday social media post that the Gulf of Mexico should be renamed the "Gulf of Texas." "If we are going to rename things … ... this is the move," the Republican governor said on the platform X. His tweet included an image of the only body of water bordering the Lone Star State emblazoned with the name "Gulf of Texas" in large white letters. Sound familiar?
