After November's disastrous election, Bexar County Democrats elect new chair
The Bexar County Democratic Party elected a new leader, former Air Force Deputy Undersecretary Michelle LoweSolis, in a special election Thursday, the Express-News reports. LoweSolis will replace Chairwoman Monica Alácantara, who resigned days after the Nov. 5 election, which held disaster for Democrats nationwide and in Bexar County. LoweSolis defeated Theresa "Terri" Flores Lopez, a former public school assistant principal, in an 80-79 vote.
